Male thinking has undoubtedly given much cause for speculation among women. Countless publications theorize about the mysterious male universe, repeating pseudo-psychological ramblings in the name of trying to shed light on the dark and unconscious paths men take as they approach the feminine world. However, the disastrous outcome of all this well-meaning advice is that many times, woman feels absolutely paralyzed and more confused than ever about male behaviour, while an increasing number of untrue stereotypes become ingrained in our collective unconscious.
One mode of thinking is simple but highly effective: Trust your instincts!
1. If you’ve exchanged a pair of pining glances a few times with a guy, and you got the feeling that you he may have liked you, it is very likely so. Don’t let that initial thought get drowned out by your insecurity, and don’t sabotage yourself by thinking you’re not pretty / smart / interesting enough to hold this guys attention.
2. If a guy doesn’t call you a week after your first date, or turns down an invitation to go to your house and your stomach twists in disappointment, it’s because deep down you know you’re not his thing. Make no bones about it, and don’t waste time speculating as to why he hasn’t “been able to contact you.”
3. Another possible scenario: your relationship is over and you’re still hoping to win back your guy. We know you’re going through a difficult time, but honestly, what is that little voice telling you when you are about to send the fifteenth message in a week? Exactly… that he’s not going to answer. Move on with things, because the sooner you get over it the faster you can move on to something better.
